This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at! The worst part of this hotel is its curfew! My stay at this hotel nearly ruined my opportunity to experience the nightlife in Paris.
There is a sign that says that for security purposes the door to the hotel closes at midnight but to just ring the bell and they will open it for you. Well, that is not true. The man at the front desk REFUSED to open the door for my cousin and I when we tried to go to a club at 2 a.m. He told me that “it was TOO LATE FOR ME TO GO OUT," and to "just GO TO MY ROOM!” I’m 22 years old, not even my dad tells me to go to my room! I refused to go to my room and he literally pushed me and told me again to go to my room. He went on to tell me, “the hotel isn’t a WH*RE HOUSE and you can’t go in and out at all hours of the night,” and “you’re lucky that you’re not a man because I would hit you!” I was so mad that he had dared to insult us like that! I insisted he call the police because he had no right to hold us captive there “just because he felt like it,” as he stated, but he refused to call them. We asked two guys that were passing by to call the police for us. They argued in French for a little bit and then the front desk man pushed me against the wall and yelled at my cousin and I to "GET OUT!" He told us that he was only letting us out because of the two guys that had argued with him and not because we had refused to go to our room.
There were a couple of other problems that might have been overlooked because of how cheap (price-wise) the hotel was. The towels in the hotel were old, stained, and smelled (not clean!), and the shower had no curtain so the entire bathroom got wet when you showered. The rooms are really small and the elevator is no bigger than a coat closet (only two people fit—one if carrying luggage). They refused to pass any calls to our rooms late at night (even when we told them that we were expecting calls from our parents) because it was “too late.” There is a 9-hour difference between Paris and Los Angeles (where I live), so of course someone is bound to call me late!
Overall, I would NEVER stay at this hotel ever again and I hope that no one else does either! It has by far been the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at anywhere in the world!
